Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) -
CRICOS Code: 057276A

The Cambridge Exam Preparation program is a ten or twelve week course designed to develop the specific language skills of students preparing to take a Cambridge Examination.  This program targets the Reading, Writing, Use of English (grammar component), Listening and Speaking competencies that are required to successfully complete the 5 examination papers involved in the Cambridge exams.

The course provides practical guidance in the development and application of linguistic skills relevant to the examination requirements including vocabulary, grammar, text production and analysis, listening and speaking. Weekly practice tests based on CAE past papers provide an assessable framework to effectively gauge student progress. In-class follow-up activities encourage students to cultivate self-assessment skills to monitor and refine their own development.

Course Specifics:

The Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) is an upper intermediate level exam and it is one of the most popular of all the Cambridge tests. It tests the ability to deal confidently with a range of written and spoken communications. A positive result on this exam could also be useful in higher education in many situations.
Choose the CAE Preparation Course at APC to improve your English for these reasons, with a particular focus on the skills and strategies required to pass the CAE examination.

Many students sitting for the CAE have already successfully passed the FCE. Like the FCE, the CAE exam preparation also provides intensive instruction in the skill areas of the exam; speaking, listening, reading, writing, vocabulary and grammar.

Choose the CAE Preparation Course at APC if your English is at a pre-advanced standard that is adequate for most purposes, including social and professional situations. This test will be accepted by many employees and by a wide range of academic institutions as a recognised standard of English.
