The part-time IELTS program is designed to develop the specific language skills of students preparing to take the IELTS Examination.
This program targets the Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speakingcompetencies that are required to successfully complete the 4 examination modules involved in the IELTS exam.
Particular attention will be paid to improving students’ examination
skills within the IELTS constraints. Students may need to focus on
particular skills and can choose to enrol only for those skills which
they need to develop further. This course may have special appeal
to IELTS candidates who wish to apply for permanent residency or
university entry.
Course Objectives
The IELTS program is a twelve week course designed to develop the specific language skills of students preparing to take the IELTS Examination. This program targets the Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking competencies that are required to successfully complete the 4 examination modules involved in the IELTS exam. Particular attention will be paid to improving students' examination skills within the IELTS constraints.
The course provides practical guidance in the development and application of linguistic skills relevant to the IELTS examination requirements including vocabulary, grammar, text production and analysis and listening and speaking. Weekly practice tests based on IELTS past papers provide an assessable framework to effectively measure student progress.
Students undertaking the Part Time course may select specific skills on which they wish to focus. Alternatively this course would suit students who are working or studying other full-time courses and wish to polish their skills to undertake the IELTS test for work or permanent residency requirements.

- To cultivate analytical skills by investigating a range of authentic and teacher generated texts
