Further Study after English

Further studies can be selected either before you leave your country or after you arrive in Australia. Please remember to give careful consideration to how long you will need to study English. For admission, most institutions require an IELTS score of 5.5 or better.

Also, please consider the commencement date of your next course. Secondary school courses begin at the end of January. Universities and TAFE Colleges commence their courses at the end of February. Only a few formal courses have a mid-year enrolment.

If you intend to take a proficiency examination (English language test) please check the date of the examination and the closing date for application.

Please note that some courses have closing dates for applications many months before the actual commencement date of the course.

APC is able to assist with your placement at a secondary school, vocational college, TAFE or University. Please send us a certified copy, translated into English, of your most recent academic record with a short note telling us what you would like to study. We can advise on entry requirements and will help you select a suitable course and institution. We will then help you with enrolment in your chosen course.

Once you have been accepted into the institution of your choice, we will send you their Provisional Letter of Acceptance which you should submit to the Australian Embassy together with the Electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (eCOE) form for your APC English course when you apply for your student visa.
