We are very pleased to announce that we now offer a mid-term intake for all VET courses. This means that students who have missed enrolment at the beginning of a term start date can now enrol up to the end of week 4 to start in week 5 or 6. Conditions apply, please enquire.

DIPLOMA OF TOURISM

As you may know we have extended our course offerings to include Diploma of Tourism. This course provides skills and knowledge for students to be competent in a range of well-developed international retail, travel sales and operational skills. It also teaches a broad range of managerial skills, specialising in tourism operations. The course is offered at the CBD and Bondi campuses. Course length: 4 terms – 48 weeks.

DISCOUNTED BARISTA COURSES at the BARISTA BASICS COFFEE ACADEMY for APC STUDENTS

These courses provide students with immediate job skills and are developed in conjunction with representatives from the coffee industry, the TAFE system and with the State Government’s Nationally Recognised Training system. It is run by Barista Basics Coffee Academy and it incorporates basic barista skills to produce espresso excellence. The Ultimate Barista course is designed to give participants extra practical experience on the espresso machine to refine their coffee-making skills and technique.

Course length

  • Barista Basics: 3 hours - Special APC fee of $99
  • Master Barista: 5 hours – Special APC fee of $210

“Fees Freeze”

APC VET (Business and Tourism) “Fees Freeze” Special:

  • New students - Enrol and Pay by 30/6/2011 into an APC VET (Business and Tourism) in the CBD and still pay 2010 fees of $1,400 per term.
  • Current and Extending students: old APC fees they paid for the last course! Must enroll by 30/09/2011.

Our current nationality mix

Our current overall nationality mix is diverse and well-balanced.

We presently have 68 different nationalities enrolled from Europe, Asia, South and East Asia, Latin America and the Middle East.

 

New APC Staff

We welcomed several new staff members and new appointments at APC recently:

  • Ms Pam Segal: Manager and Program Coordinator – School of Tourism and Hospitality; Quality Assurance and Accreditation Manager.
  • Ms Angel Wong: Acting Senior Marketing Manager
  • Ms Youngeun Song: Principal Administrator – English Unlimited, Brisbane (our sister school)
  • Ms Olga Vogel: Team Leader – Student Services
  • Ms Emma Hall: Student Services Officer (Pathways and Alumni)

They all bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to APC and their combined skills and professionalism all contribute to the continual improvement of the college's services offered to our students.
