English for Academic Purposes (EAP)
Delivered by
English for Academic Purposes is ideal for students wishing to undertake Tertiary study in Australia, our EAP programs will develop your skills in research, essay-writing, oral presentations and tutorial participation.
English Unlimited offer two levels of EAP courses:
- EAP A for Advanced level students
- EAP B for Upper Intermediate level students
Each course is 5-26 weeks in duration, and prepares students for the rigours of producing high-standard literature reviews, annotated bibliographies, survey reports, argument essays, oral presentations and critical reviews.

Course Structure

Academic Preparation for studying in an English-speaking education institution
Weekly assessments with personalised feedback
Grammar and vocabulary training for writing academic essays and reports
Training in referencing and creating annotated bibliographies
Reading training for research, analysis and text summarisation
Speaking, listening and pronunciation training to present, lead discussions and meetings, and participate in debates
Assessments to demonstrate competence in spoken and written academic language
Pronunciation for presentations and group debates
Students completing our EAP program should graduate with the following levels of Academic English:
- EAP A – Advanced English, equivalent to an IELTS score of 6.5 – 7.5
- EAP B – Upper Intermediate English, equivalent to an IELTS score of 6.0

Entry Requirements
EAP is offered at 3 levels; EAP A, EAP B and EAP C.
The English language entry requirements for each EAP level are as follows:
- EAP A – Completion of Upper-intermediate
- EAP B – Completion of Intermediate
- EAP C – Completion of Pre-intermediate
Prior to starting the EAP C level, students are required to be at Intermediate level.
Entry can be determined by submitting an English certificate or by placement test.

Bundle and Save on Visa Costs
Course bundling is when you apply for a series of related courses, instead of just one course, saving you money on your visa costs.
For example, if you are interested in a Certificate II or Certificate III course, you can combine it into a bundle with a related Certificate IV course. Or combine a Certificate IV course with a related Diploma and Advanced Diploma.
