What is Smart and Skilled? 

Smart and Skilled is a NSW Government program that helps people get qualifications in in-demand skills and industries. It’s a key part of the NSW vocational education and training system.  Smart and Skilled Program gives eligible students the following: 

  • an entitlement to government-subsidised training up to and including Certificate III 
  • government funding for higher-level courses (Certificate IV and above) in targeted priority areas. 

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for any of the funded places you must:

You may be eligible for one of our FEE-FREE courses if you enrol and start your studies before 31 December 2023. Training in priority qualifications is fee-free and fully funded by the NSW and Commonwealth governments.

*Please note not all courses are offered in all regions. Different levels of funding are applied to different qualification levels. All the above qualifications are recognised as FEE-FREE under the Smart and Skilled program for students enrolling from 1 December 2022, and commencing study between 1 January 2023 and 31 December 2023.
