Course Structure
The TAESS00019 Assessor Skill Set prepares learners for assessment support roles within the vocational education and training (VET) sector.
Learners will build capability in assessing skills and knowledge, gathering and evaluating assessment evidence, making fair, valid, and reliable assessment decisions, and accurately recording and reporting assessment outcomes.
Units of Competency
This course comprises the following nationally recognised units that provide credit towards TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment:
- TAEASS412 – Assess competenceDevelops skills to assess learner competence in workplace and simulated environments in line with assessment requirements.
- TAEASS413 – Participate in assessment validationBuilds capability to participate in assessment validation activities to ensure quality and compliance.
- TAEDES411 – Use nationally recognised training products to meet vocational training needsDevelops skills to interpret and use training products to support effective assessment and training practices.


Upon successful completion of this nationally recognised Skill Set, you will receive a Statement of Attainment for the TAESS00019 Assessor Skill Set, formally recognising your capability to conduct competency-based assessments in vocational education and training contexts.
